This is a special one for me, I've had been holding off for a while until I felt ready to tackle a lion as I wanted to paint one in memory of my father Michael Hobbs. He had a true love for wild Africa and in particular lions - so this one's for you dad - hope you like it!

Lions pride
This was a fun commission piece based on the clients photos from South Africa. I love lions, the haunting sound of them roaring in the night is one of my most vivid memories of my time in the African bush.
