Big cats are magnificent and a wildlife artists dream. Elegant, intense, colourful and charismatic.
I love big cats, though I'm not sure the feelings are mutual. I lived for six months in prime leopard country and would hear them at night and find pug marks around my house in the morning but never caught even a glimpse. I forgive them though - they are still my favourite cats. I lived in mountain lion country for five years, found scat and tracks on my property but aside from a couple of blurry frames from a trail camera I never got to see them either.
In short, big cats, just like their smaller domestic counterparts are fiercely independent and only cooperate strictly on their own terms!
